DoubleTap KC began in 2019 with the idea of bringing a new kind of gaming to Kansas City: virtual reality. To us, the best memories and the biggest laughs happen around shared activities with the people we love the most. That's what we strive to provide every day for our community.

Humble Beginnings
DoubleTap KC opened its doors in 2020, a year filled with uncertainty and challenges for everyone. From day one, our incredible customers have been at the heart of everything we do. Your support, enthusiasm, and love for VR gaming and community events helped us create a space where people could come together, have fun, and escape the stresses of the outside world. We’re located at 310 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64106, in the heart of the River Market District. Parking and the KC Streetcar make it easy to get here.

Yes! We offer daily food and drink specials, including $1.25 wings on Wednesdays and half-price loaded nachos on Thursdays. Check out our full menu here.
No, we don’t allow outside food or drinks, but we’ve got a fantastic menu of food, craft beers, and specialty cocktails for you to enjoy.
We have a bomb (like a shot mixed with Red Bull) for each state. If you get a bomb from every state punched on your punch card, we take your picture and put it on our Wall of Bombers!
POLICIES
For all events, patrons under 21 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Children 10 and older are welcome before 8 PM.
Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a reservation. Cancellations within 24 hours will refunded via a DoubleTap gift card.

GAMING
Our VR arcade offers a wide variety of games, including shooters, rhythm games, escape rooms, and multiplayer adventures. There’s something for everyone!
Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended for busy nights or larger groups. You can book your VR session here.
VR lanes start at $70 per lane per hour. For as many people can play at a time, DoubleTap remains the most affordable VR experience in KC.
Yes! We have a host of typical arcade games, 80s and 90s console games, as well as board games to enjoy.
PARTIES & EVENTS
We host weekly events like Trivia Night, Music Bingo, Karaoke, and live sports watch parties. Check out our Events Page for details.
